Dinka Pignon
Dinka Pignon works with spatial video installations within the field of mixed reality. Her large-scale video projections reshape the architecture of the space, creating illusory effects over physical objects. Operating on the borderline between the real and the virtual, her work reflects a strong affinity for the phenomenal, the liminal, the conceptual, and the minimal.
Over the past 40 years, Dinka has produced a substantial body of work that has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications across Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Alongside her artistic practice, she has produced, coordinated, and curated interdisciplinary art events, festivals, experimental workshops, and international exchange programs. Committed to artist-run culture, she has spent most of her professional life working in artist-run centres: 15 years at Fylkingen for New Music and Intermedia Art in Stockholm and 10 years at VIVO Media Arts Centre in Vancouver. She now lives in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Emma Hendrix
Emma Hendrix (they/them) is an artist, designer and cultural worker focused on experimental form within sound and technology. Their formal training in electroacoustics and 25 years working in experimental art forms have deeply informed their practice and developed their keen interest in the visceral and emotional, bringing an insightful, intuitive element to their sound and design work. Emma creates work independently and as part of Manufacturing Entertainment with Julie Gendron. Kenneth Newby
Kenneth Newby is a Canadian composer, recording artist, media artist, interaction designer, and educator.
Kenneth’s compositional philosophy in music centres on listening deeply inward to sound itself and then shaping that internal structure into music that feels spiritually, ecologically, and culturally situated. The result is a music that is profoundly original and rewards repeated listening as it reveals its secrets.
His recorded output includes a series of highly regarded works beginning with the acclaimed Ecology of Souls in 1993 through the recent From Solitude of 2025.
Derek Robinson
Derek Robinson is an itinerant, some-time professor of ignorance, coasting the margins of AI and mechanical philosophy. He taught for 12 years in the PhotoElectric Arts department at the Ontario College of Art, Toronto. Currently based in Victoria BC, publishes sporadically but best enjoyed live. In Game Over, his is the principal voice in the philosophical discourse, drawing upon all areas of organized knowledge in its exploration of human and machine sensibilities.
Sharon Sabatino
Sharon Sabatino is an arts worker, artist, and jeweller living in Vancouver, Canada. She has over 20 years of experience managing arts organizations and producing cultural events, most recently co-organizing the Vancouver Art Book Fair, the largest and longest-running international art book fair in Canada. Sharon has been involved with a variety of organizations across multiple artistic disciplines, including Word Vancouver, BC & Yukon Book Prizes, Vancouver Podcast Festival, VIVO Media Arts Centre, and DOXA Documentary Film Festival, as well as numerous other literary, visual art, theatre, and film organizations.
Sharon is the face and voice of the projected human and AI characters in Game Over and Orchestra of the Uncanny Valley.
Ajahn Sona
Ajahn Sona is a Canadian Theravada Buddhist monk and Abbot of Birken Forest Buddhist Monastery in British Columbia. His background in philosophy and the humanities, together with decades of Buddhist study and contemplative practice, informs his engagement with questions of consciousness, perception, free will, and the nature of mind. In Game Over, he participates in the philosophical discourse, bringing a Buddhist perspective into dialogue with Western philosophical thought. He also contributed to the development of the work as a creative consultant.
David Leith
David Leith is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist. His practice encompasses photography, site-specific audio-visual installations and interactive community events. Lujka Petrović
